Inert Loop B-295
![]() | Spray drying with organic solvents |
Principle of the Gas Flow of the Inert Loop B-295
In the two-fluid nozzle, the solution is sprayed into fine droplets using nitrogen. The solvent-loaded gas stream is then cooled down in the heat exchanger and the solvent is condensed in the refrigeration unit.
The condensate is separated in the collection flask. The cleaned gas stream is returned to the Spray Dryer.
1) Heat Exchanger 2) Condensation unit 3) Cooling aggregate.
Maximum safety using oxygen and pressure monituring
The Inert Loop B-295 provides highest level of safety. The closed loop is operated under nitrogen (or other inert gases) to prevent any explosible mixture. The oxygen concentration is measured with a sensor. The system can be run at oxygen concentration below 6% - at higher rates, the unit stops feed and heater.
The pressure is monitored to detect any possible mis-operation or glass breakage during operation and lead to a quick stop of feed and heater.
This instrument has been reviewed by the Swiss Institute of Safety with an official Certificate.
